Greetings from the Unruly Queens! We are a team of girls from the US Amateur Team East 2020, where we had an unprecedented result of 5.5/6, taking 2nd-place. After this tournament, we started to think about the ratio of girls to boys in chess (1:8), and how we could try to close the gap. With our tournaments, camps and classes, we strive to create a comfortable space to empower and teach girls to play, learn and love chess. We host a number of free tournaments and camps, giving girls the opportunity to show their skills and learn from others.
